TGIF

T.G.I.F is an under statement!!!  This week has been another crazy one.  Clinicals are going great, but extremely busy.  I am mentally and physically exhasuted and I miss my hubby and Lily.  I haven't been getting home till about 8:30 every night and it just makes things kinda of a drag when I don't get much time with them at night.  I know, I know.... I don't have kids to take care of, but I am still going to whine!!!!  It's alot and there is no way around that.

In between clinicals and studying, I have been on the job hunt.  I haven't really decided what I want just yet.  My heart is set on one thing, but I just want to make sure that it is the right one.  Too much time has been spent to choose the wrong thing!!!!!!

But anways.... I'll stop with the whining and complaining!!!!  (for now, haha!!!)

On a brighter side... Wanted to share with you guys some really cute Vday decorations that I found at Hobby Lobby last week.  I have a real obsession with Hobby Lobby and Target right now.  I always love these places, but I feel like I am going once a week to see "whats new"  and that is soooo not good!

Here are my cute finds.....

Love these little cupcakes... cute, simple, and look great on my bakers rack in the kitchen.

Love this too.... I put all of Patricks favorite candy in there for him to snack on.  Reese and peanut butter M &Ms.

I hung this cute heart from the window seal in my kitchen, so cute and adds a little Vday spirit in the kitchen.

And my decorative kitchen towels.  I am a freak when it comes to decorative holiday towels on my stove.  I feel in love with these at Target.  This are for looks ONLY, when my husband remembers!!! haha!!

I really enjoy deocrating our house for each holiday!!  Growing up my mom always had holiday decor out and I think she has passed on the LOVE to me.   I stick with the more major holidays (Vday, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) may be forgetting a few!!

What about you guys.....  do you like decorating your house too for your families???

Happy Friday!!

For those of you who use Pinterest, you know what I am talking about when I say..... It is ADDICTIVE!!!  I discovered Pinterest a months ago and I have found so many great DIY projects, ideas for decorating, recipes, and much much more.  I am now having to limit the amount of time I spend on this site.  The pins and ideas sharing on here is just great!!

Today I am linking up with Michelle over at The Vintage Apple for Oh, So Pinteresting Wednesday!

Here are my favorite pins from this week!!

I have to have a bar of some sort this like in my next house.

In Rachel Zoe words.... I die!!!  These boots make want girl when we start having kids!! So cute!

I love this DIY headband, so cute and fashionable.

Great idea... these manilla folders labeled by each month have preplanned/preapid dates for couples.  Such a cute and fun way for coupls to have date night.

Project Life Tuesday: 2012: Week 3

Can't believe it is already Tuesday again, but soo glad that it is.  That means it is another Project Life Tuesday (now one of my favorite days of the week).  This week was pretty busy with being back to school M-F with some pretty late hours.  But I was able to capture a picture a day that I think well represented our week.

Our week in review... full layout

I am getting more and more creative each week!!! And I absolutely love looking at all the other PL link ups, the inspiration and ideas are so great!

Left page.....

I ran out of run when it came to journaling these days... so much went on.  And I incorporated my first piece of everyday life!!  Can you see the To-do-list my hubby made me on my day off??  Haha, so funny.  This was my first list from him, but probably not the last.  He thought he was so funny doing this, so I let him have the pride and joy in doing so :o))

Right page........

I really liked the way this page turned out!!  Wednesday I was sick and didn't get around to taking a picture, so I used this scrappy insert I got from Hobby Lobby.  It is a pocket with tickets where you record "10 things I love of everyday life" I love this!!!  I even included a Facebook wall post from a firend that made my day!  I think it is so fun to use these, really adds a little jazz!!!

Up close and personals.......

I am in LOVE with DIY and Pintrest projects right now.

Love how these collages turned out on this bottom page.  So many pics that I wanted to use and only have Design A pocket protectors right now.

Crazy Busy Monday

OH. MY. GOSH!!!

This is all I have to say about today... hate to wish days away, but super glad this one is over.  Today in the immediate care we saw 75 patients from 9am-6pm.  Needless to say I am dead.... the first time I looked at the clock today, it was 2pm!!!  Ahhhhh!!!!!!!

Makes for a fast, quick day.  But, no matter how tired I am or fast the day was, each patient received quality care and at the end of the day that is all that matters.

On a better note... tomorrow is my hubbys 27th birthday!!  So happy early birthday to my hubby, supporter, and love of my life!!!!  We have been munching on his birthday cake already.  We always get a cookie cake from The Great American Cookie Company from Patrick's mom on our birthdays.  I LOVE them soooo much!!

Off to bed early tonight, early start in the morning.  Have to be the O.R. at 6am!  Sigh!!!

Night blogger friends!

January Madness

Never know what kind of weather your gonna get when you leave in Kentucky.  It is the 60's one day and 20's the next, needless to say we know what to expect around here.  But I think yesterday was probably a shock to all.  Yesterday our local meteorologists gave us forewarning that were was going to be some strong storms with gusty winds.  But, living in the CRAZY area for weather that we do, the storms turned VERY severe.  There was tornado warnings in our area and areas surrounding for over 1 hour.  And there ended up being 7 confirmed  tornado touchdowns by the National Weather Service!  Crazy, huh??  Tornados on January 17th, not snow or a blizzard.... who knew??

The crazy thing was, I was at Target when the severe weather moved in.  I'm not going to lie, I was a little frightened.  Target employees escorted all shoppers to a safe place, where we sat for about 1 hour. Luckily, nothing severe happened where I was, to our home, or any of our family/friends.  But I am praying for those families and homes that were affected.

But on a positive note.... I want to share all the GREAT deals I found shopping at Target after being released from the Tornado safe zone.

We keep Lily's dog food in the house in the laundry room and the bag always seems to get in my way so I was determined to fix that.

Love the OXO Soft Works Containers, they are my fav!  Much better!!!!

And don't you love these bowls.... all on clearance for $1.38 a piece.  We needed plastic bowls like this for cereal and what not, because I hate using my good dinner bowls all the time.  My kitchen is red, so they match perfect.

Ummm.... no explanation here other than I am in major clean-up and clean-out mode.  Time to get serious and organized around here.  Love all the containers Target has right now, so many styles and colors!!

I guess I don't need to say it, because you can probably already see that I am a sucker and HEART Target!!  This is my favorite and go-to store for absolutely everything.

Last picture to leave you with on this Wednesday..... My hubby and I went to the UK game last night.  We had great tickets and was kind of a pre-celebration leading up to his birthday on Jan 24th!!

2 days till the weekend, but who's counting??

Project Life Tuesday: 2012: Week 2

I am super excited for today's Project Life post.  I feel like my layout has improved just since last week.  I am wanting to kind of stay simple just because of my busy life style for the next couple of months, but I do want to kind of make it mine and add a little creativity here and there.  I don't really have any embellishments this week, but I feel like it is something I can come back to and I can add personal touches to previous layouts as ideas come it me.  I am trying not to force it... that make sense?!

So here goes nothing!!
Week 2 of Project Life Full layout pic.....

I did some editing in photoshop to some of my pictures to spice it up a bit.  I am learning and becoming more familiar with making collages and I really like them.  I am able to incorporate more pics in just one slot.

Top half up close and personal......  Don't you love the cheetah Danksos!!  They are so fun and I have had so many compliments at work from patients and families.  Adds a little somthing to the scrub look!

As you can see, it was a pretty busy week for the Devine family... but a GREAT one.  I have been doing excellent so far with taking a picture a day, just hoping a can stay on track.  I have been using Design A templates so far and I really like this look.  I LOVE that I can add multiple pictures into one slot and can journal right along side the picture.  When I purchased my PL kit I bought a few other designs, so I hope to incorporate those soon.

MLK JR. Day and Organization in the making.....

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day to all!! Hope everyone is having a great holiday. Today is such a great day for America to remember MLK Jr. and to reflect back on how far our country has come as a whole. I am proud to live here in America and am so thankful that the old ways of America are not true in present day. Thanks to all our great leaders and fellow service men who make this country so great, to protect our freedom and safety.
Remember, me saying that I was supposed to work today.... Well, I ended up having an unexpected day off! I was so excited, especially since my hubby was off too. So I was able to pull that lingering to-do and I was able to complete a few things. We are planning to get all new flooring in the house and would like to have it done within the next month, so we made a trip to one of our favorite stores... Lowes to start browsing and do some pricing. We found a lot of great things and hope to start the redo soon. I will be sure to post before and after shots!!!

But the project I was able to tackle and finish day had to do with my coupons. Now, I am not an extremist, but I do look at the coupons in the Sunday paper and I hang on to the ones with the products that we use on regular basis. I found myself laying these coupons everywhere and before I know it I just toss them because I can't keep them organized. Also, for all those Bed Bath and Beyond, Hobby Lobby, and Pier 1 coupons lying in the bottom of my purse..... ughhhh!! They get in my way!!

So I decided it was time to get them organized and find something to keep them in, so that they are all in one place and I can put it in my purse.   I figure if they are with me and organized I will be more apt to use them.  I made a few stops in Dollar Store, Hobby Lobby, and Target but didn’t really find anything that I liked.  So, on my way home I decided to give Dollar Tree a try.  And what do you know… I found the perfect organizer for all my coupons and discount offers.

Here is what I found.....

The container is about 4x6 in dimensions and is small enough to place in my purse.  There are 5 tabs inside that come with labels, so that you can label each section according to what you put in there.  And of course I had to jazz it up a little bit with some stickers that I had laying around.

Here is a look in the inside.....

The total cost of this great organizational project was $1.00.  The organizer was $1.00 and the stickers were free since I already had them!!!  I am very pleased with this and I can't wait to start finally using all the coupons that I collect.

So what do you think??  Would you use something like this to keep your coupons and discount offers organized?  Or do you have any of your own ideas that you use to keep coupons neat and organized?!

I heart Sundays!

LOVE Sundays.....It is my favorite day of the week!!  Remember that to-do list that I was telling you about that I didn't think would get done... well I surprised myself and was able to mark a few things off the list today (I'll tell you about that later).

I don't think I have mentioned this an any of posts so far, but I have 2 sisters.  I am the oldest, Kathleen(the middle) is 22-years old, and Allie Rae (the youngest) will be 11-years old in 2 weeks.  Kathleen is get married in July, so I started my day off at a bridal show.  My mom, Allie, and I went with Kathleen to see if you could find any ideas.  We didn't really come away with anything, because we have booked most of the big things for the wedding.  But we had a great time being together and mom treated us all to lunch.

After the bridal shower, I came home did a little cleaning, organizing for the week, and THEN I pulled out that to-do list.  My to-do list is mainly composed of DIY, crafts, and projects that I want to complete.  My first project:  something to hang all of my scarfs..  Being the scarf fanatic that I am,  I know nothing is sturdy enough to hold them all so I just plan to hang my favorites!!  I found this project from a friend a fellow blogger.

Supplies:  one sturdy coat hanger, shower ring curtains, and ribbon.  All supplies purchased from the dollar store.
Directions:  Cut small pieces of ribbon and tie shower curtain rings to each other one by one.  I made 2 rows of 6 rings.  After you do this, you take the top ring and tie the ring to the base of the hanger with a piece of ribbon

Here is a pic after everything is tied together

Only thing missing now are the scarfs.....

Very easy DIY project and a great way to keep your scarfs organized and not in a pile in the closet.  And thanks to Savannah Richardson for the great idea.

And be sure to check out Between Naps on the Porch blog because.....
I am linking up to Metamorphosis Monday, one fabulous party!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great holiday tomorrow!
